The Prince of Wales Set to Attend UN Climate Conference in Brazil
Prince William is scheduled to attend the United Nations climate conference in South America next month, according to royal officials.
Prince William and King Charles appeared together on Thursday evening at a event preceding the climate summit, which is scheduled to take place in the Amazonian city of Belem.
The King and Prince were present at the museum gathering, marking an noteworthy combined presence at a climate summit preparatory event organized in partnership with the UK government.
Climate Leadership Dedication
King Charles has been a longstanding advocate of protecting nature - and the Prince of Wales has assumed the responsibility, with his own Earthshot awards, which will be hosted in Rio ahead of the COP summit.
Official representatives have described Prince William's attendance at the next COP as stepping up an crucial position in "global climate discussions".

The King and Prince of Wales, arriving together in the royal vehicle, were introduced to guests including conservation experts, scientists, environmental activists, diplomats and government officials.
This involvement featured addresses together with French leader Macron of France and other international figures at the Ocean Finance Summit in Monaco during the current year.
Environmental Prize Link
The UN meeting will align with the William's personal Earthshot environmental awards, which will wrap up in the Brazilian city the day before he joins the COP summit on 6 November.
In recent days the William characterized the prize competitors as "modern-day pioneers".

The King has been a prominent presence at past COP meetings, providing the introductory remarks in the United Arab Emirates for COP28, including the reminder: "Our responsibility is to protect the world we inhabit".
"Throughout my life I've dedicated a significant amount of my life trying to warn of the critical dangers facing us over global warming, global temperature increases and ecological decline," the King told delegates.
