Soccer Star Aaron Ramsey Increases Reward for Lost Canine in Mexican Territory to £15,000
Wales soccer player Aaron Ramsey has raised the bounty for leads about his lost pet Halo to £15,000.
The former Arsenal and Cardiff City player, who now represents Pumas UNAM in the capital, mentioned that Halo was spotted in San Miguel de Allende, located in the Guanajuato zone.
The beagle, who went missing on 9 October, was equipped with a dog tracker collar, and the footballer published a Google maps location of where she was last seen.
"Any sort of news concerning our Halo kindly get in touch with us. Substantial reward for locating her. We are all praying she is safe and will return to our family quickly," the athlete shared on Instagram.
Earlier Bounty and Heartfelt Pleas
Ramsey first revealed that Halo had disappeared 14 days prior and has subsequently shared numerous photos of the adored dog on his social media account.
A £7.5k reward was originally announced, but with absence of information on Halo's status after a seven days, Ramsey and his family increased the sum.
"Our only wish is our pet home," he stated in another plea on social media after the 10-year-old pet went missing.
A recent picture post is a monochrome photo of Halo napping, her head lying in the crook of the athlete's arm, with the caption: "What I'd do to hold you one last time sweet Halo."
Household's Anxieties and Context
Ramsey has additionally shared a note from his wife Mrs. Ramsey on social media indicating they have some "serious queries" regarding the event and are concerned the family "could possibly not obtain answers".
"To this day we are still searching for our dog. It is unlikely we ever will," his wife's update expressed.
The Wales leader became part of Mexico's top-flight team Pumas UNAM recently and made his inaugural match in the Mexican league in August.
The Caerphilly-born footballer is the first prominent British player to participate in the Liga MX.
